What are Business Complexity Points ?

Business Complexity Points are normalized units (or points) for estimation and definition of software functional complexity  (or size).

They are used to determine and normalize software size and contribute decisively in order to turn scope definition and management into more standardized, objective and transparent processes. Additionally, they enable delivery performance monitoring and improvement through indicators that are based on software size, like producitivity for instance.

The normalized size of a software feature and hence the entire backlog of the project, in terms of number of Business Complexity Points, is estimated with the support of the framework defined by the Business Complexity Rule
